01 / The workflow

No more tab-hopping. No more re-exporting. Find it, grab it, cut it. All in one panel.

Five sources, one search field

YouTube, stock footage and photos from Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash, royalty-free music from Jamendo, and sound effects from Freesound. All merged into one result set, each tagged by source.

Watch before you commit

Play YouTube videos right in the panel with view counts, scrub through footage, and audition music and SFX. Filter and preview until you find exactly what you need, then download.

Full quality, Premiere-ready

1080p H.264 that Premiere reads natively. Audio as MP3, M4A or WAV. Clip-only time ranges and subtitle downloads. No transcoding, no broken codecs.

One click to the timeline

Every download lands straight in your project, auto-sorted into Footage, Music, SFX and Photos bins, or drops at the playhead the moment it finishes. Grab a whole batch at once, or paste a playlist URL and pull the lot.

Track your editing time

A built-in timer clocks every session. Start it, pause it, or set a countdown to pace yourself. Your hours sync to your Snaddle dashboard, so you can see how long you worked today, yesterday and across the week. Close Premiere and it pauses on its own.

Questions & licensing

Can I use the stock media, music and sound effects commercially?

It depends on the source. Always check the licence linked below before using something in paid or client work:

  • Pexels is free for commercial and personal use, and no attribution is required. Pexels License ↗
  • Pixabay is free for commercial use, again with no attribution required. Pixabay Content License ↗
  • Unsplash is free for commercial and non-commercial use. Attribution is appreciated but not required. Unsplash License ↗
  • Jamendo (music) tracks are Creative Commons for personal listening, but using them in your videos usually needs a paid Jamendo licence. Jamendo Licensing ↗
  • Freesound (SFX) gives every sound its own licence. Some are CC0 so you can use them freely, some need attribution (CC BY), and some are non-commercial only. Freesound licences ↗

Bottom line: Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash are safe for commercial work. Jamendo and Freesound need a per-track check. Snaddle shows the source on every result so you can verify.

What about YouTube downloads?

Downloading is intended for content you own or have permission to use. Snaddle is a tool. Please use it lawfully and respect creators' rights.

Do I need to pay for the stock sources?

Nope. Each source gives you a free API key. You paste it into Snaddle's settings once. There's a "get a free key" link next to every field. YouTube works with no key at all.

What do I actually get for $9.99?

The free version gives you 10 downloads per category, per day. Snaddle Pro is a one-time $9.99 payment that removes those caps forever. Unlimited downloads, batch and playlist grabbing, and all future updates. No subscription.

Which versions of Premiere and Windows are supported?

Snaddle runs on Windows 10 and 11 with Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 (v13) or newer.

Is there a Mac version?

Yes, there's a macOS beta you can grab from the download menu (look for the "Beta" tag). It runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel. Snaddle is Windows-first, so the Mac build is still getting polished, and a signed, notarized installer is on the way.
